The Mazda CX-80 is a large seven-seat SUV that represents the Japanese firm’s flagship vehicle.
The CX-80 is available to lease with either a petrol plug-in hybrid powertrain or a diesel mild-hybrid engine and all-wheel comes as standard whichever variant you opt for.
The CX-80 sits in Mazda’s range alongside the smaller CX-60 and CX-5 SUVs.

With a plug-in hybrid Mazda CX-80 lease, a ‘Skyactiv-G’ 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine is combined with a 129kW electric motor and 17.8 kWh battery to produce power of 327 PS. You can also expect up to 38 miles of range using electricity alone, which could help to drive down your Benefit in Kind (BiK) tax bills if you’re leasing a company car.
A 254 PS 3.3-litre ‘e-Skyactiv D’ diesel engine, meanwhile, can return close to 50 miles to the gallon.
There are many different trim levels to enjoy, running from ‘Exclusive-Line’ through to ‘Takumi Plus’.
Entry-level ‘Exclusive-Line’ models come equipped with 18-inch alloys, roof rails, black leather upholstery with heated seats in the front, front and rear parking sensors, a hands-free power tailgate, 12.3-inch infotainment screen with Amazon Alexa built in, and wireless phone charging.
The range-topping ‘Takumi Plus’ grade features everything from unique exterior styling and white Nappa leather upholstery, to radar adaptive cruise control and a head-up display.
When it comes to rivals, competitors include the Kia Sorento, Hyundai Santa Fe, and the Skoda Kodiaq.

Efficient and professional team
This is the third lease company I’ve used, but in terms of the ordering process, the communication, the documentation and the speed of delivery I would have to place Select first for customer service. I also secured a great price (for a Hyundai Tucson) as well as having the flexibility of not needing to pay a deposit, which made the deal very attractive. However, I’m fully aware that you can’t truly judge a car leasing company until the end of the contract when the car is being returned, as that is what genuinely separates one leasing company from another. On that basis, my rating is based on the relationship to date. The delivery of the car itself was one area where I have experienced a superior service from another lease company. The company in question would deliver their cars on a transporter so the cars were delivered to my house in immaculate condition with something like 20 miles on the clock. The car I received a few days ago was driven about 100 miles to my home, on a rainy day in December, so it was handed over to me dirty. A relatively minor point.
